Master Jay
Co-Owner, Head Instructor
Jay first began her taekwondo journey with Master Alex Sootho from Musa Taekwondo in Sydney. Her talents were quickly recognised and was quickly put into competitions, and started training as an instructor, under his tutelage.
Jay actively competed in both poomsae and sparring, eventually choosing to pursue sparring with more focus.
Jay was selected as 1 of 5 athletes from NSW to take part in the inaugural Elite Athlete Program for High Performance Sparring and later went on to earn numerous state, national and international titles.
After graduating from the University of Sydney, Jay relocated to Melbourne and pursued full-time work within tech, whilst teaching at clubs in Melbourne. She successfully coached numerous athletes to podium finishes and state titles in both Poomsae and Sparring.
Now at Be, Jay is excited to provide excellent martial arts instruction, but most importantly to pass on her love for the sport and martial art to all her students.
