Development & Competition

Be Taekwondo, home of Olympic Silver Medallist, Daniel Trenton, is proud to offer sparring classes tailored to to modern-day sport Taekwondo. Instructors have competed at the highest levels, with experience competing and coaching athletes to podium finishes.

Classes are appropriate for students 8+ for developing, emerging, and high-performance athletes. Classes are compulsory for those who wish to compete.

Training & Competition

Competition is fun, rewarding, and is a rewarding experience for those that want to try out what taekwondo offers.

Sport sparring is a point-based, full contact sport that requires great physical fitness, and mental sharpness. Competitions run throughout the year.

  • Sparring classes run on Mondays & Wednesdays from 6:30pm to 8pm. On Saturdays class runs from 12:30pm to 2pm.

    In the lead up to major competitions, additional classes and S&C sessions may be added to the schedule.

  • Comps happen throughout the year, both within the state at the local level, and inter-state for both development and elite athletes. There are numerous opportunities throughout the year to compete.

  • Yes! Open mats and cross-trainings are held regularly to make sure students get experience fighting other people outside of a competition environment.

  • You can either wear full uniform & belt, or your dobok pants with a sport T-shirt. You may wear a jacket.

  • Please bring your own gear (arm guards, shin guards, groin guards, helmet, gloves, mouthguard) and other necessary protective equipment. The club has some gear that you may borrow but we highly recommend you get your own.
